This exhibition highlights work by Indigenous Australian artists from the Hermannsburg School and includes watercolours (from the original and subsequent generations), ceramics and acrylic paintings on canvas.

Following the acclaimed Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art series, the Queensland Art Gallery is initiating a major series of contemporary Australian art exhibitions at the Gallery of Modern Art, commencing in November 2008. For more information click here.
10:00am War: The Prints of Otto Dix

Otto Dix’s print cycle Der Krieg (War) 1924 ranks alongside Picasso’s Guernica 1937 as one of the most powerful indictments of war created in the twentieth century. 'War: The Prints of Otto Dix' is a travelling exhibition from the National Gallery of Australia, which acquired this highly significant print cycle in 2003.

The Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) are located 150 metres from each other, on the south bank of the Brisbane River. Entrance to both buildings is possible from Stanley Place, and the river front entrance to the Queensland Art Gallery is on Melbourne Street.
